I've been creating characters and writing stories for as long as I can remember.  In 2002, I decided to try my hand at writing novels.  As a result, GROWING UP LITTLE was born.  Written on the computer in my kitchen, I often took advantage of the peace and quiet offered by the late night and early morning hours as my husband and children slept. I completed the manuscript in two months, then spent the next two years learning everything I could about the writing/publishing world.  

I'm an active member of both the Romance Writers of America and the Maryland Romance Writers, where I serve as the official critique group coordinator.  I'm also an RWA PRO, and was voted BEST AUTHOR in the 2006 Preditors & Editors Reader's Poll.  

My family and friends have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support my writing career.  They have read and reread countless chapters, and given me suggestions and advice again and again, until everything sounded just right.  My husband, Joey, has been the biggest help; allowing me to bounce ideas off him and pick his brain for information.  He is also the creative mind behind this website, which he graciously updates quite frequently!  Without him, I would certainly be lost.

Writing has opened up a whole new world for me.  My ideas and inspiration come from everything around me; especially the people I meet and places I go.  I'm always armed with a pen and paper, too. So be careful what you say, it may just end up as a line in my next book!
