I've been creating characters and writing stories for as long as I can remember.  In 2002, I decided to try my hand at writing novels.  As a result, GROWING UP LITTLE was born.  Written on the computer in my kitchen, I often took advantage of the peace and quiet offered by the late night and early morning hours as my husband and children slept. I completed the manuscript in two months, then spent the next two years learning everything I could about the writing/publishing world.  

Becoming a member of the Romance Writers of America has been extremely helpful.  I am an active member, an RWA PRO, and attend monthly Maryland Romance Writers meetings where I have met some wonderful people.  

My family and friends have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support my writing career.  They have read and reread countless chapters, giving advice again and again until everything sounded just right.  My husband Joey has been the biggest help; allowing me to bounce ideas off him and pick his brain for information.  He is also the creative mind behind this website, which he graciously updates quite frequently!  Without him, I would certainly be lost.

Writing has opened up a whole new world for me.  My ideas and inspiration come from everything around me; especially the people I meet and places I go.  I'm always armed with a pen and paper, too. So be careful what you say, it may just end up as a line in my next book!
