5 Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews

There has really only been one woman Judd McCassey ever cared for but when she really needed him he wasn't able to be there for her and she left. Judd never expected to see Dusty Zamora again but here she is back in town and she's in trouble and needs help. This time Judd will do anything in his power to be there for her. Ten years ago Dusty and her sisters were just as much trouble as the McCassey brothers but the death of one of the sisters and their mom's ex-boyfriend caused them to flee in the middle of the night with the help of the McCassey brothers. Dusty looks like she has lived rough ever since but this time Judd and his brothers will take on whoever is threatening her, if she'll let them. Dusty still loves Judd too but she has kept a tremendous secret from him for all these years and he will probably hate her when he learns what she is hiding. Can Judd and Dusty put their past behind them and have a future or will they even live long enough to try?

     The third book in the
McCassey Brothers series, Dusty Rose, by Lauren Sharman is just as wonderful as the first two titles! The McCassey's and the women who love them haven't led charmed, happy lives; they've lived through rough situations and hard conditions and survived. When circumstances or people with grudges go after one McCassey or anyone they have adopted into their family, they face the whole crowd. McCassey's take care of their own! Just like the other two titles, Dusty Rose is full of action, suspense, and romance and is a great read. I love reading about these caustic personalities with bad tempers and foul mouths who are also fiercely loyal and love their family. Ms. Sharman is able to bring these flawed individuals to life in a way that has the reader rooting for them to succeed and find the happiness that everyone, despite their situation, is entitled to. I'm just afraid since the series is called the McCassey Brothers series that this is the last book but there are a number of wonderful secondary characters that would make great stories too so I hope we'll see more of this family sometime in the future. How about it Ms. Sharman, what about the McCassey cousins or the McCassey children as they become grown?

Did you ever want to have a big brother who would take care of everything, no matter what the cost? Did you ever find that big brother? Did you fall in love with him, and worship him…though he never knew? Dusty Zamora did all of those things, all before she was eighteen and wanted for murder. Yes, Dusty Rose by Lauren N. Sharman, the latest and greatest of the McCassey Brothers' series is now available and starts out with five blasts from a .357 Magnum.

Dusty and her three sisters run for their lives after killing the man who killed their youngest sister. It was self-defense but the local law won't see it that way. Better to just hightail it for parts unknown. It happened just as Dusty was realizing her dream. Just when she was, for the first time the night before, in the arms of the only man she'd ever love, Judd McCassey.

When her mother's ex-boyfriend, bent on revenge, killed Courtney, the youngest of the Zamora sisters, the oldest made short work of him with her handgun. When the four sisters go on the run, there is only one person to help them: Blackie McCassey. Blackie hustled the girls out of town and safely placed them with the Renegades, Blackie’s outlaw biker group.

Ten years later, Dusty comes riding back into town alone on a stolen bike with a wad of money to pay off Blackie and a story including a lot of secrets. What happened to her sisters? They were never separated before. Why now?

At the sight of her, Judd is taken back to the night before Dusty was swept from his life, and all of his love is rekindled by a hello kiss that sets him on fire. But Dusty's secrets and refusal of his help are driving him insane. How can he help her with her obvious problems if she won't confide in him? And once she does surrender a little of the truth, why won't she allow him to take care of things?

The road to romance for the McCassey brothers can be paved with pain, heartache, outlaw bikers, old secrets, and blood. Ms. Sharman has penned another fabulous adventure in Hagerstown, Maryland, that spans ten years and adds unexpected twists to the legacy. Rebel, Blackie and Judd McCassey are the kind of bad boys you'd want on your team no matter the game. Each one is hot in looks and actions. Dusty and her sisters are the perfect counterparts: strong, self-reliant, and hard loving.

Dusty Rose is supposed to be the last in this series, following No Worries and The Devil's Candy, but I'm begging Ms. Sharman to reconsider that decision. The boys do have a host of bad boy cousins too, you know!

The McCassey Brothers plus the Zamora Sisters always equals trouble.

“Dusty Rose” is as raw, edgy, and tough a romance you will ever read.  There’s no handsome rich hero sweeping the frail damsel out of harms reach.  In “Dusty Rose” the guy would be lucky not to be shot by the girl…actually, he nearly is, shot that is, the verdict on lucky is still out.

“Dusty Rose” is one of the best romance suspense eBook I’ve read.  Dusty Zamora, our heroine, is hard as nails, fast with a gun, has carried and protected herself while riding with an outlaw biker gang and she’s grown into one beautiful lady.

It’s Judd McCassey who first spots the female form riding the Harley Davidson Fat Boy, just one of the surprises this Zamora sister has in store for him.

Neither the McCassey brothers or Zamora sisters had it easy growing up, but the night the sisters killed their stepfather for raping and killing their youngest it was those brothers they ran to for help.  Now, ten long years later, she’s back home, in Hagerstown, Maryland, hoping the McCasseys’ know where her last remaining sister is.  Jessie’s on the run from the brother of the man she killed, too bad the man had killed Jessie and Dusty’s sister first.

No, “Dusty Rose” isn’t your garden-variety type romance/suspense story.  There’s grit in this story.  There’s meanness and ugliness in it, too.  There is also heart, loyalty and family.

Ms. Sharman writes with an unconditional honesty, she pulls no punches and for that I thank her.  I need to read the first two McCassey Brothers stories.  “Dusty Rose” is a story you won’t soon forget.

Rated BEST BOOK from Long and Short Reviews

Ten years ago, Dusty Zamora had to urgently leave Hagerstown with her sisters, who were all so close and tight knit. Although they were young, they were very far from innocent and they all used to hang out with the McCassey brothers growing up. Dusty Zamora has returned to town alone and the one person who is most surprised to see her is Judd McCassey. Riding into town on a stolen outlaw biker's motorcycle should have been the first hint that trouble was headed to Hagerstown by the name of Dusty Rose.

Dusty and Judd's story really captured my heart. It was a story of first love, true love and unconditional love. Each have been in the other's heart since Dusty first left Hagerstown ten years earlier and this is a story of second chances and a whole lot of action! Exciting thrills and a smart ass woman make this story an unbelievably exciting read.

I have never read a book series that I have loved as much as this one. I can honestly say this is a first for me. Suspense is most certainly my favorite type of romance book and Ms. Sharman has definitely delivered with strong characters, unbelievable plot lines and a talent for telling a story that really captures your heart. I was amazed at all the twists and turns throughout the book and just when I thought I had everything figured out, the twist would blow me away.

The McCassey brothers bring the intense action that I look so forward to in a book. There is no way that I could possibly pick a favorite McCassey brother. Each had their own unique style that I was oh so attracted to. Rebel, the leadership, Blackie, the brawn and Judd, the heart and each man is more gorgeous than the one before. These three men melted my heart and I was turning pages just as quickly as I could, luckily I have a fire extinguisher right by the computer.
